A friend once asked me if I have any secrets in making money online. Instead of answering her back, I just smiled... and told myself: "Why would I tell you?" Just kidding.
Do I have a secret? Do bloggers who make money online have secrets? Honestly, I don't literally have a secret at all. If there is, then probably I must have shared it recently ;D I don't to other bloggers if they have secrets. Maybe yes, maybe no. If they have, then I bet they already shared it to their readers... or maybe they keep their secrets as secrets.
Is there secrets in making money online? I don't know. In my opinion, the secrets to be a successful money-maker are hard work, patience, motivation, passion, and determination. Making money online is not easy. It takes time and a lot of effort. If you give up easily, then you will definitely fail. Making money online is not an overnight job. It is an everyday work. Setting up a blog and waiting for money to come in is not the ideal work in blogging. Setting up a blog is only the first step. Next step is to build traffic and relationship to your readers. Money will come in after your blog is established.
Now, if you will ask me my secrets in making money online, I will answer you hard work, patience, motivation, passion, and determination ;D happy blogging.
Choosing a blog's name is one of the most crucial decisions in creating a blog because it can serve as the first impression to readers. Honestly, it took me more than two weeks to think and decide the suitable name for my blog. I listed all names that I think great but, unfortunately, most of them were already taken.
I came to different names before I finally get what I really want and lucky me, it was available. Yipppeee! It wasn't my first choice... but am still thankful because it was available that time.
By the way, here are some tips I can share in naming your blog. Actually, I got these while doing some research and I thought they are more helpful if I will share them here.
First thing to do in choosing the blog’s name is that it should be easily remembered by readers. Not everyone relies on bookmarks, so try a name that is unique and easily remembered. Also, make your blog's name easy to type and spell. It should reflect the topic of the blog, too. Next, make it catchy and lastly, make it Search Engine friendly.
To do the tips above, make a list of names you feel would best reflect your blog. As you look at each potential name, ask yourself the following questions:
- Does this name reflect my blog's purpose?
- If I saw this blog name in a search, would I be inclined to click?
- Will other bloggers and blog readers see the title and perhaps consider this blog a good resource?
- Will the name work for years to come?
If the answer to all of these is yes, then you have your best blog’s name ever :D
On my recent post, I mentioned about Content is King. Now, let me talk about traffic - which is one of the key ingredients in successful blogging.
In Royal world, when we say King, of course it is expected that he has his Queen, right? Same with blogging... if content is the King, then what is the Queen? The title of this article already said it.
Traffic is the Queen... why?
It's simple. Imagine you wrote and published a book. The book contained interesting stories but because it's only stocked in the publishing factory, you will never make a sale. So how can you get someone to buy your books? You need to distribute the published books to different bookstores so book lovers will be aware about your book.
Same goes with blogging. Even if your blog is interesting, yet no one neither visited nor read your contents, it is as good as nothing. You have to drive visitors and readers to drop at your blog. How? There are a lot of ways. You can submit your blog to Blog Directories and Social Bookmarking sites. You can submit your blog to Search Engines. You can comment to other blogs within your niche. You can ask other bloggers to visit your blog.
There are a lot of ways to drive blog traffic. I will share detailed information as we go along. Right now, it's important to know that Content is King and Traffic is Queen.
Many bloggers often say that "Content is King". I admit that during my first days of blogging, I don't exactly know what this statement means.
After several research and rigorous reading, I finally learned what these bloggers exactly mean when they say "Content is king". They mean the contents of your blog or website should have "QUALITY". For you to have and keep readers, your blog's topic and contents should be interesting, worth-reading, and unique.
For more than three months of blogging, I do agree that Content Is Really King. Let's take my two blogs as an example. My Space of Reality blog is about my random thoughts and opinions. It is not actually a personal blog because I don't mention my everyday life. I only discuss there what's on my mind.
Anyway, I noticed that bloggers prefer visiting this blog rather than my Make Money Online blog. The latter only get its visitors from Search Engines, while Space of Reality gets most of its traffic from bloggers and loyal readers. I don't know why most bloggers prefer reading the blog... maybe because most of them prefer reading blogs with unique contents rather than reading a "make money online" blog which we all know that this topic is already used.
One blogging secret I've learned and want to share with you guys is "Content is Indeed King". Just like what successful bloggers keep on telling us "Concentrate on your contents first... traffic will follow."

It can be anything. I choose this topic because I am passionate in knowing the secrets behind successful blogging and how I can monetize it... and I am willing to share it with you.
This is my passion... now maybe it's time if you ask yourself if your blog reflects something about you.. or are you just doing it for money?
