Are you familiar with this line? Anyone of you received an email with the title "Your PayPal account has been limited!"? Well, if you do be sure not to click the link because if you did, then you are already the next victim of one of the Paypal phishing scams spreading in the Internet. If you haven't received any yet, then it's better to be informed as early as now.

After opening my Yahoo email account earlier today, I was shocked after seeing an email with the title as above. What?! My Paypal account has been limited? How come?!

Of course from the moment I saw the title of the email I am sure it is another phishing email trying to steal my credit card info. Why? Simply because of three reasons. First, the email address where I receive the email wasn't the one I am using for my Paypal transactions. Second, according to Paypal's official website, they don't actually send emails that are related to updating accounts of their users. Lastly, the email address of the sender was paypal@alertes.com which is obviously not Paypal's official address.

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system.We recently contacted you after noticing an issue on your account.We requested information from you for the following reason:

Our system detected unusual charges to a credit card linked to your PayPal account.

Reference Number: PP-259-187-991

This is the Last reminder to log in to PayPal as soon as possible. Once you log in, you will be provided with steps to restore your account access.
